1. COSTUME INVOICESBy now, everyone should have receive their invoices for recital costumes.  Costumes are slowly arriving, but they cannot be released to the dancers until the invoice is paid in full. Please note: Due to many complications with the costume companies this year, some dancers will receive costumes that might be a little big.  This is beyond our control and was unavoidable. The cost of alterations is not included in the price of the costume; unfortunately this is an added cost.

SEAMSTRESS INFO:  Francine Lauzon has been our trusted seamstress for years.  If you require any alterations, please contact her directly at:  705-465-8342.

2. VACCINE PASSPORTS & CONTACT TRACING QR CODE

MKDA is dropping the vaccine passport J

Also, people entering the building are no longer required to scan the CONTACT TRACING QR CODE.

We are happy to see things getting back to normal.

3. RECITAL INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please see RECITAL INFORMATION document.

4.  ORDER OF THE SHOW

Keep your eyes open in your emails for upcoming schedules & show order.  We are working on the order of the show as we speak.  Once the order is done, we will email it to you.  Please check the spelling of your child’s name and notify us if there are any changes/corrections:  melissa@themkda.com.

5. PICTURE SCHEDULE

Recital pictures will be held on April 3rd & 4th.  A detailed schedule is coming in the next two weeks. We will send this to you in a separate email.   Marc Breton is the photographer this year.

6. REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Every group will have 30 minutes on stage to rehearse.  These rehearsals will be held on April 3rd, 4th, 5th.  A detailed schedule is coming with that information.  Again, we will send this to you in a separate email.

7.  DRESS REHEARSALS

Dress rehearsals are held separately from rehearsals.  Here, we ask that ALL DANCERS arrive with their costumes “recital ready”, as we will run these dress rehearsals like the “real show”.  There will be sound, lights & costumes.  We ask that hair is done (makeup is not necessary for a dress rehearsal).

Dress rehearsals will be on the following days:

Wednesday, April 6th at 5:30pm:  We will run PART 1 of the show

Thursday, April 7th at 5:30pm:  We will run Part 2 of the show

8.  SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY

We are creating a great opportunity for advertising.  We have 8 spots available for local businesses wishing to sponsor the recital.  The cost for the sponsorship is $500.00 and is offered on a “first-come, first-serve” basis – we will provide receipts.  MKDA will have retractable banners located at several locations in the hall, and your business logo will appear on the banners as well as on the TV monitors before the show and during dinner/intermission.  We will also give a verbal mention at the end of each show.  If your business is interested in sponsoring, please send an email to Melissa Kelly-Lavoie directly:  melissa@themka.com.

9. REQUEST OF VOLUNTEERS

To run a successful show, we require the help of volunteers.  If you are interested in helping, please fill out the Volunteer Form on our website:  https://www.themkda.com/recital-info/volunteer/ (We are currently updating information on our website, therefore if you don’t see the proper recital dates on the form, do not fill it out just yet).

We will assign your task a week before the show.

THAT’S IT FOR NOW J ……..KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED ON YOUR EMAILS……..
