REVISION #8 – DANCE SCHEDULE
Please be advised the schedule has changed following the registration deadline. You can see the revised schedule (REVISION #8) on our website: https://www.themkda.com/schedule/
There have been changes to the Thursday schedule (in both studios), and we have added a
Tot Ballet class on Saturday mornings at 9:00am and all students who have been transferred to that class have been notified. We also added a second Jazz 3 class and students who have been transferred to the Thursday class have already been emailed.

MELISSA’S SURGERY
MELISSA’S SURGERY
Melissa is scheduled for surgery on Monday, September 22nd and this surgery requires a
3-week recovery. Melissa has an “abdominal wall endometrioma” that is very painful and must be removed.
Melissa has planned to have substitute teachers for all her classes that week – at the exception of the Saturday classes. Melissa will be present during the Saturday classes, but will have her assistants demonstrate all moves. We were unable to find a replacement teacher for the Burlesque class, therefore, this class will be rescheduled in the New Year.
Note: As of now, there will be substitute teachers for the week of September 22nd and Melissa plans on returning the week after with very minimal physical demonstration, and a lot of verbal explanations.

Thank you for your patience and understanding – This is not the way Melissa wanted to start the dance season, but there is no choice.

SANTA CLAUS PARADE – CORRECTION OF DATE

There was a mistake in the September Newsletter with regards to the date of the Santa Claus parade….Please see correction below.
Start of dance season: Monday, September 15th, 2025
Thanksgiving: Studio is closed from October 11th-13th. Classes resume on October 14th.
Dancing With The Docs Fundraiser: No classes on Wednesday, October 22nd or Thursday, October 23rd.
Halloween: No classes on Halloween night (Friday, October 31st).
Santa Claus Parade: Saturday, November 15th. MKDA dancers always participate!
Last day of Term 1: Saturday, December 6th.
First day of Term 2: Monday, January 12th, 2026
Family Long Weekend: Studio is closed from February 14th-16th.

Classes resume on Tuesday, Feb. 17th.
March Break: Studio is closed from March 14th-20th.
There will be classes for the Saturday dancers on March 21st!! This also marks the last day of “regular classes” at the studio.
Stage Rehearsals begin on: Monday, March 23rd at École secondaire catholique Thériault auditorium.
Dance Pictures: March 28th & 29th at MKDA Studio A.
Dress Rehearsals: Tuesday, April 7th & Wednesday, April 8th at Thériault auditorium.
Recital 2026: Friday, April 10th at 6:00pm (Senior Show)
Saturday, April 11th at 1:00pm (Full Show)
Sunday, April 12th at 1:00pm (Full Show)
MKDA Year-End Banquet: Thursday, May 7th at The Dante Club.
