October Newsletter

1. STUDIO CLOSED

Reminder: Studio will be closed for Thanksgiving Weekend (Oct 7th-9th).  Classes will resume October 10th.

Studio will also be closed on Halloween evening (October 31st ).  On Saturday, October 28th, dancers are permitted to attend class in their Halloween costumes J

2. OFFICE HOURS

Regular season hours are as follows:

            Mondays:  5:00-9:00pm

            Tuesdays:  9:00am-2:00pm

            Wednesdays:  9:00am-2:00pm

            Thursdays:  5:00-9:00pm

3. AERIAL SILKS ATTENDANCE

We need to reinforce attendance in this class.  Since this is a very different style of class, attendance is MANDATORY.  You cannot expect progress in this class, if you do not attend.  If a dancer misses more than 2 classes during Term 1; he/she will be asked to drop the class altogether, no exceptions.  Our number one priority is SAFETY and proper safety measures are taught in class; attendance is therefore MANDATORY!

 4. MEASUREMENTS FOR RECITAL COSTUMES

Liliane Kelly& Mardi Bellemare are measuring dancers this week (from Monday to Friday). Saturday dancers will be measured on Saturday, October 21st.  If you were absent this week and did not get measured it is the PARENT’S responsibility to measure their child and submit measurements to the office.  You may also easily submit your measurements online at: http://www.themkda.com/about-us/forms/

 5. PARKING IN FRONT OF DRIVEWAY

We have had problems with clients parking in Melissa’s personal driveway and also parking in front of her driveway; therefore blocking any access to her driveway!  This is unacceptable.  We understand parking is limited, especially on Tuesday evenings; however Melissa’s private residence is no place to park.

6. SANTA CLAUS PARADE SIGN-UP

We will have the sign-up sheet available on Monday, October 16th for all dancers interested in participating in this year’s Santa Claus Parade.  The parade will be held on Saturday, November 18th.  The sign-up sheet will be posted on Mardi’s office door.  We allow all Intermediate, Senior & Advanced dancers to participate as “dancers behind the float”. Space on the float is very limited as we can only accommodate 10 younger dancers.  Santa Claus parade is mandatory for all Competitive dancers.
