December Newsletter

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all those who participated in this year’s Santa Claus Parade!! We were fortunate enough to win a category:  Most Artistic Entry!  Go MKDA go!!

We will begin Term 2 on Monday, January 7th.  We hope that all dancers take the time to review their routines prior to their return in class.  We will have 7 weeks to finish learning the choreography and 4 weeks to polish.  Attendance is crucial and will be taken into consideration for the participation of the recital.

We are very excited to officially announce we are offering ballroom dancing for adult couples that will not involve participation in the recital.  This will strictly be for pleasure and for any couples out there looking for a fun “date-night” atmosphere.

Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from 8:00-9:00pm.

 Teachers:  Jessica & Thierry Croussette

Start Date:  Tuesday, January 8th 2019 at 8:00-9:00pm

Cost:  $325.00 + tax per couple

Duration of the class:  13 weeks (January 8th to April 9th:  No classes during March Break)

Many dancers have been bringing in their USB sticks for recital/competition songs.  If you would like to do this, please don’t hesitate to bring in your USB’s in the New Year.  We will be happy to transfer the music.  This is a great tool in helping your dancer(s) remember their routine(s).

Furthermore, we encourage parents to film their child performing the routine at the end of each class.  We encourage any tool that will help them remember and practice their routines at home.

If you ordered MKDA Nike merchandise from our website, you most likely received an email from the company stating that the merchandise will not arrive until January 4th 2019.  Just so you are aware, MKDA was not happy with this and we filed a formal, written complaint to the seller.  We were promised a delivery date PRIOR to Christmas and they failed to do this for us.

After the email I sent, they are now doing their best to make sure delivery is made by the end of next week.  Should the merchandise arrive at the studio, you will be contacted to come pick it up.

For safety reason, in the New Year, the studio doors will be locked during the daytime office hours.  Should you come to the studio, please make sure to ring the doorbell.  This new doorbell has a video camera and we will be able to see who is at the door from our phones (Mardi and Melissa).

MKDA’s Aerial Silk Fitness boot camps have been the talk of the town and are gaining so much popularity.  Be part of this exciting new world of fitness by registering for our next session beginning January 6th 2019.
