1. SHOW LINEUPS (Full Show & Senior Show):
Please visit our website to view the order of the Full Show & Senior Show: http://www.themkda.com/recital-info/. This will indicate what number(s) your child will be in the show. If your child does not dance until the 2nd half of the show, we still need them to arrive at Thériault 1 hour prior to the start of the show for security reasons.
2. IMPORTANT POINTS FOR RECITAL (please read PRIOR to recital):
There are two documents attached with this newsletter. We ask that you read both documents in order to be aware of MKDA policies during recital and other very important points regarding your child before, during and after recital. We do not like leaving anyone uninformed.
3. DRESS REHEARSAL DATES
We call it “dress rehearsal” because we rehearse with all costumes. We expect all dancers to arrive with their costumes RECITAL READY! This means, all alterations should have been made by now, all tights purchased from OUR ONLINE STORE (Johnny Brown) and we expect to see all costume accessories on stage (head bands, tiaras, gloves etc.) We DO NOT expect makeup to be done or hair – as long as hair is out of the face. Dancers who have quick changes and need a hair change; we ask that you practice this hair change during dress rehearsals. If you are unsure about your child’s costume requirements, we ask that you refer to the “COSTUME REQUIREMENT” document that was sent to you by email.
Dress rehearsals are the following days:
Monday, April 8th 2019 (DRESS REHEARSAL)
Run Senior Show – 5:30 – 8:30pm
Tuesday, April 9th 2019 (DRESS REHEARSAL)
Run Part 1 of the Full Show – 5:30 – 7:45
Break – 7:45 – 8:00
Run Part 2 of the Full Show (we will run all younger groups first so they may leave) – 8:00 – 10:00
4. VOLUNTEER PACKAGES
If you’ve filled out the volunteer form on our website, we want to THANK YOU very much!! Only those who have submitted their forms, either through our website or in the office, are asked to present themselves to the VOLUNTEER BOTH on dress rehearsal days: April 8th & 9th NO LATER THAN 5:00pm. You will be given a volunteer package that will contain a NAME TAG and details about your volunteer duty. We ask that you read all papers inside your envelop to make sure you are well informed about everything. Also, you MUST wear your name tag at dress rehearsal and at recital; otherwise you will not be permitted to enter the auditorium or cafeteria. If you are group supervisor for a Junior Group, you will not need to stay for Dress Rehearsal on April 8th, just on April 9th.
5. BANQUET TICKETS
Still available for purchase through the office or during Theriault rehearsal practices. The banquet will be held on Thursday, May 2nd at the Dante Club: Doors open at 5:00pm. Tickets are $35.00 for adults and $15.00 for children 12 under. If your child is receiving an award, you should have received an email by now.
6. BANQUET DOOR PRIZE

8. MKDA MERCHANDISE FOR SALE AT RECITAL
We have ordered new MKDA merchandise to sell at all three performances. These make great gift ideas for your dancer! Come see us at the “merch table!”
9. FLOWERS FOR SALE
Vicky from The Love Bug will be selling bouquets of flowers and single roses beautifully wrapped at all three performances. These also make your dancer feel special J
10. COMPETITIVE TEAM AUDITIONS & WORKSHOP 2019
We are still waiting to hear on our 3rd judge for this year’s competitive team auditions before we release the schedule. However, we felt that you needed to know the dates for the audition & workshop. Workshop will be held on Saturday, May 25th & auditions will be held on Sunday, May 26th (the weekend after May Run).
